Fidalgo
Homework Policy
At Fidalgo School we believe homework plays an important role in the education
of each child. Homework develops positive work habits, provides students opportunities
to practice and reinforce learning, and helps build learning connections between
the home and school through special projects and activities. As a general
rule, students at Fidalgo are expected to complete an average of 10 minutes
of homework per grade, 4-5 nights a week. Students who fail to complete homework
or in-class schoolwork may be required to attend Study Hall before or after
school until work is complete. Modifications to this policy may be made, at
the teacher’s discretion, to accommodate students with learning difficulties
or in response to extenuating circumstances.
